Whirlpool Dryer Drum Support Repair | Max Tampa

On this Whirlpool electric dryer project, our technician replaced the drum support and gave the inside of the appliance a deep clean. The work involved taking the dryer apart, lifting out the drum, clearing lint from inside the cabinet and putting the appliance back together.

Opening the dryer and removing the drum

The technician removed the front panel and lifted the drum out of the cabinet. With those parts set aside, he could reach the dryer’s internal support area and the lower cabinet. The first photos show the front panel off and the drum lifted clear, with its drive belt still around it.

Replacing the support and cleaning the cabinet

With the dryer open, our technician replaced the drum support. He also used a vacuum to remove lint and debris from the cabinet base and other exposed interior areas. The close-up photos show the cleaning work with the drum removed.

The support replacement and deep cleaning were completed as part of the same repair visit.

Putting the dryer back together

The technician then refitted the drum and panels, secured the top section and cleaned the removable lint screen with a vacuum. The final photos show the dryer back together, with the technician beside it at the end of the job.
